Things got crazy when they started 24 hour service. I think Jack-In-The-Box was the first fast food place to try that, even before Taco Bell.
An irate customer shot out the front windows. That was a mean drunk white guy.
Another one shattered all the fixtures and mirrors in the men's toilet. That was another mean drunk white guy.
This was in very affluent white U.S.A..
There were no black people in town to employ.
Harassing people who were not white was the favorite sport of the local police. When they got bored with that they'd go to places where LGBTQ people hung out and beat them up.
The town was incredibly proud of its low crime rate. The crime rate was low because white-boys-will-be-boys stuff didn't count.
