It gives them home that their life of drudgery and ignorance will end soon. They're hoping that all will be revealed while they're sitting on their couches, watching tv. And they've put all their faith in a man who lies every time he takes a breath. I wish we could find something constructive for these people to do.

They are happy to believe that evil is controlling the world, because the thought of a world where nobody has full control feels even worse!

I know a guy, or I used to know him, who believes pretty much everything that Alex Jones says. I asked him why he believed all of that shit and he told me he's been lied to. The media is covering up for the government, he said. He also said that since the government keeps some things secret, that means they're lying to him.

These people start out with the premise that you can't trust the media or the government, so they believe in conspiracy theories. A lot of them haven't had much education and a lot of them also have psychological disorders, but this disorder seems to be contagious.
