(17,803 posts)My wife and I spent three weeks in three cottages in western Ireland.
I'd cheerfully live out my life in Connemara or Donegal.

(61,861 posts)before the first plane hit the twin towers. We saw the second plane hit in a bar where were lunching with our girl and her boyfriend. We were there for 10 days and it was surreal. Incredible mixture of sadness, disbelief, the natural beauty of Ireland, and warm and wonderful people. Unforgettable. We particularly loved our days in Dingle. The Guinness. The Fish and Chips...and sticky toffee pudding!
