Cats...

We do love our cats - we've got four. Two tuxedos, a Siamese, and a tortie.

I'm not really that much of a morning person, and my wife, who usually feeds the little fellows in the morning, is having a sleep-in. But this morning I was wide awake just before six.

So, I showered, dressed, and then went up and fed the cats.

Now, I get back down here and am online catching some news.

The cats had taken several of the keys off my keyboard!

I found the '5' key off to the side, and they had loosened the T and the Y. Plus it looked like one of them had browsed on the internet and was attempting to erase the browsing history.

Seriously.

I suspect the tortie.

I never did figure out how to put it back on. Fortunately, I could still use the 'underpinning' or connect a remote keyboard.

Of course she has denied it. Kind of like the water glass I found on the floor. Apparently there was an earthquake that only affected water glasses.

They hit my water glass if I leave it out, and sometimes random things off the shelves or counters! Maybe cats (or just torties attract them!! I have 2 torties, 2 dilute torties and a mish mash mess of a color I can't describe! lol

She's a farm cat to boot. Yikes, I've never met such a crazy out of control creature as this.

a reputation. It shouldn't be the case since tortie is only a color pattern, not a breed. But mine is the first tortie I've had and she is definitely the most feisty cat I've ever had.

more to her breed mix than coat pattern. She's a mix of domestic shorthair (ordinary non pedigree) and Egyptian Mau. I had never heard of Egyptian Maus before I got her, since they are not very common. But she has a lot of the Mau behavior traits - very energetic and active, clever, craving interactive play, and more strong-willed than most cats. VERY strong-willed. She also has a trait that is present only in Maus and kind of amusing. When she is really happy and excited about something, her tail goes straight up and vibrates, from the tip right down to her rump. She does it most often when I fill her dish, but also when anticipating interactive play with a favorite toy.

Don't you love it? Of my 5, they get me up, eat breakfast, poop, and then 4 zonk out the rest of the morning, in the sun if possible. The fifth wanders the house, plays, get into anything and everything, and tries to get the others up, she is 4 years now, she should settle down any time now,......lol Your cat is gorgeous, by the way!

They recently formed a union and the punishment for not feeding them tuna is to knead on your bladder at six in the morning.

They are not to be trusted. I wouldn’t put it past the Siamese to set up the tortie. They’re smart but sneaky.

They can be pretty “mischievous,” so to speak. (I grew up with those rascals!)
