"What did you buy for $599.00?"

I replied, "Nothing."

It was a SCAM.

Amazon doesn’t even have my phone number as I order through my brothers account. Did shake me up a little though, like somebody may have hacked my credit card. Thanks for sharing your experience.

The amounts vary, but so far all have been between $1200 and $3000. Soon as I hear Amazon, I hang up now.

They tape that “yes” and it can be used to purchase stuff.

Say “I can hear you”. If they insist on a yes or no, hang up.

guess they are busy!

I could tell it wasn't Amazon because the language was WAY nicer than Amazon would ever be.

on my amazon account, that amazon security had put a hold on the purchase, and that I should “press one” to speak with amazon security.

I hung up.

Not a minute later, I got a call saying my Apple Cloud account had been breached, and that I needed to “Press One” to speak with Apple security.

Sheesh.

Got similar calls since few weeks ago, and they use several different numbers. I Googled the numbers and found quite many reports filed at sites like http://phonebook.ai about them. I just ignore any calls if I'm not familiar with the numbers now.
