Please post here your original DU name and the name you are currently using.

Just post "Was Wxyz" now "ABCD".

That way we'll have some record of the name changes so we'll be able to recognize you.

Not mandatory, only if you wish to share so we'll know you.

10. I thought there was a time limit

on that. In fact I think it might be today or tomorrow that that will be gone? Did they change that? I hope so, I would hate to lose some people because I have no memory left. Bookmarking this thread just in case I am right but if I am wrong oh well.

Long time sailor here..port is left. Tack is sailing into the wind at an angle. Thought it fit. Port tack together means sailing into the wind, wind coming over the port side of the sail.

Dems (the left) always taking on the more difficult challenges i.e. sailing into the into the wind on a port tack

14. From now until 3/20/2021, you have the option to change your DU username

You will be given a temporary signature line. For 30 days after you change your username, a signature line will appear at the bottom of all of your posts which reads, "This is the DU member formerly known as [username]." If you are already using a signature line, it will not be affected. The temporary signature line will appear below it.

The name change will be noted on your profile. For 30 days after you change your username, your profile will contain a notification which reads, "This is the DU member formerly known as [username]."
