This tiny kitten, though, came right up to him as he was walking back to his car and meowed at him for help, which he almost didn't hear over the wind.
Our son tucked him into his jacket and went to find his family, but the cashier thought he must be from a neglected mother at a nearby house who was always having litters of kittens no one took care of. So he spent the ride to his new home sleeping and snuggling inside the jacket.
