The first episode of Columbo is on tonight.

STEVEN SPIELBERG directed the first TV episode of

COLUMBO (1971)

at 25 years old.

Here the title sequence superbly combines cinematic visuals & diegetic sound design with just one line of dialogue.

How was he not destined for greatness.

as Columbo was smart, it was not worth spending time on my dvd player with the people he was investigating.

He was so damned irritating! Mrs. ironflange, though, loves it and still watches it at every opportunity.

7. I watch Columbo when I need my 70's fix of fashion and grand home decor and design.

Not kidding...my favourite era for both..
Plus I moved to Southern California in 1970.
..so there's that.

I watch White Collar, often, just to see New York home decor, architecture and design.

The one with Donald Pleasence as the murderous vineyard owner, ultimately putting himself away because of his wine expertise. Good stuff. Directed by Leo Penn (Shawn Penn's dad).
