Just saw a hummingbird I have never seen before. That's odd because Florida only has the red-throated hummingbirds. Generally, the males are a brilliant jewel green with a red throat and white under the red. But what I saw looked more like a very brilliant red throat and mostly black all over, if not black-green.
Too quick to take a picture.

I used to live in Studio City. Many, many years ago. Never put up hummingbird feeders when I was there. Look what I missed!

.. I havent seen any yet. Usually the end of March brings humming birds and also the frogs at the pond croak SO LOUD I have to wear ear buds.
So far neither....
