A new variant of the pandemic anxiety dream: the naked zoom meeting.
So just about everybody has those awful dreams where they're naked in class or at work, or at least without pants. The pandemic has added a whole 'nother level of anxiety to dream about; I've had dreams where I was in the middle of a crowd and suddenly I realized I wasn't wearing a mask and neither was anybody else. But last night I outdid myself. While we might speculate that other people in Zoom meetings aren't wearing pants because they are all just sitting in front of computers so who can tell, in this dream for some reason I was walking around naked because I was either going to take a shower and get dressed or had just done so, and I had two laptops open pointing in different directions, and to my horror I saw that their cameras had wide-angle lenses that covered every corner of the room so all the other meeting attendees saw me in my horrible naked glory.
I'll be glad when this is over and I can go back to dreams about not having studied for a final exam.
