In the late 90's I rode the "drop side" of the Power Tower. From the ground, it doesn't look that it's as high as it is and also looks that the "drop side" was less intense compared to the "shot side". When it ended, I had a hard time walking because my legs felt like they were made out of rubber and I had to sit down to regroup. Mind you, I was in my early 20's at the time. There was another lady close to my age who was crying hysterically after exiting the "shot side" and my heart completely went out to her.

Congratulations to the anniversaries, milestones and a hearty welcome to new members!

Fortunately, my dad rode with me.

The first time it went upside down, I immediately flipped over the restraint bar. I rattled around like a pebble in a maraca until my dad was able to catch me and physically pin me down. He said he almost had a heart attack.

I wasn't seriously hurt, fortunately.

Good times!!

At the local redneck county fair years ago. I was convinced the big fat bearded carney guy at the levers was trying to kill us because we looked like hippies... then my GF stepped off and hurled all over the ramp on the walkup to the ride... spaghetti that looked like worms!
