Wife's BDay Tomorrow

I went shopping today. Bought two 1.5" filets and 6 silver dollar sized scallops.
Going to pan sear the steaks in butter & bacon grease with minced garlic, add shiitake mushrooms and onions, then add red wine. When seared and the sauce is reduced, into the oven at 280° for 10-12 minutes.
Scallops will be in butter & bacon fat, with a white wine reduction. (Of course, with garlic. We both use it a lot. Not a werewolf within 50 miles.)
Sides are baked artichoke hearts & pan fried potato slices with an Alfredo style sauce.
She LOVES scallops!

But, this reference suggests the garlic thing does fit into the narrative.
From Vampedia Fandom:

Central European folk beliefs considered garlic a powerful ward against demons, werewolves, and vampires. To ward off vampires, garlic could be worn, hung in windows, or rubbed on chimneys and keyholes.
