Curious as to reactions to 2nd Pfizer shot

Just had my second shot today

1. I had my second shot on Sat. the 3rd

and I'm still waiting to feel a reaction (other than a sore arm).

2. Had my second shot yesterday

A little soreness is all.

3. My arm was MUCH sorer (it developed several hours after the shot) this time and

I felt a little nauseous and really tired for a couple of days. I don't know if the latter two were because of the shot but I don't know what else would have caused it.

DH has 2nd Pfizer tomorrow. He was a little tired after the first one, that’s all.
I had the opportunity to get the J & J thru my work. Also very minor side effects, headache and tired the next day.

6. I had an unusual headache about 2 days after the 2nd Pfizer jab

A dull achy headache, unlike my 'routine' type of headache. Nothing helped but then about 36 hours after it started, it just stopped.

No reaction beyond a wee bit of tender spot on my arm

8. I had the full whammy

No reaction at all on first shot (well, sore arm for a day, but I don’t count that as reaction; it’s normal).

Had second shot at 8:45 am, felt fine most of the day, except maybe dull headache by afternoon. Around 9 pm started with chills and thought I’d sleep it off. Next morning full fever, bad chills, muscle aches, headache all day. At 9 pm fever broke and I felt better.

So 24 hours of yuck, but well worth it. Recompense was it means my immune system was gearing up.

20. I'm actually kind of hoping for this

Second dose is tomorrow and I like getting the confirmation that my immune system has gone to red alert. Well worth some short-term discomfort IMO.

9. tired and foggy

Lasted a couple days. Not bad at all considering the benefits!

10. My second shot was like the first

just a little tenderness, when touched or a little with movement. My husband got a little light headed and so did a couple I know. My son felt a little like he had the flu for the rest of the day.

12. Second shot was better than the first

First shot: bad headache, muscle and backache, extreme (chemo like) fatigue...
Second shot: fatigue, mild muscle and backache, lasted two days...

My husband had much worse symptoms with his second shot...fever, chills, muscle aches, fatigue and he is very stoic and NEVER gets sick or complains.

13. Nothing.... Worked immediately afterwards. I was aware of the arm used, but no

pain significant enough to complain. And, this following no NSAIDs for 36 hours PRIOR and 48 hours afterward (hoping to ensure a ROBUST immune response). Ditto with second dose more than two months ago.

Yes, some experience some mild aftereffects, but having vaccinated about 250 people now, myself, I'm convinced there is a bit of a "mind over matter" component for many. So, good luck, but don't talk yourself into a reaction... If you do experience discomfort, tylenol

17. Thanks 12 hrs in no effects..except sleepy for an hr

A few hrs after...same as first shot tired for 30 to 60 minutes.a couple hours later. No other effects

14. 2nd Pfizer: First 24 hours had chills, delirium, headache, sore arm, and joint pain

Headache and fatigue lasted about a week. I feel great now. I'm so thankful to be vaccinated.

15. Had my second Pfizer shot on February 26th.

No reaction at all. My arm wasn't even sore at the injection site. I consider myself very fortunate, as my cousin had hers about a month ago and had a fever, muscle aches, and lethargy, for lack of a better term. But she's fine now.

16. Had my 2nd Pfizer Monday. Sore arm for 24 hours and that's it.

But it did sting when I got the shot like a bee.

My dh had headaches and slept most of the next day.

21. 2nd shot was just like the first.

Very next day, general lethargy and aching all over. That was gone the day after that.
Soreness in the arm for several days.

22. Arm was very sore, much more than the first time,

and itched for awhile. The soreness didn't set in for several hours. Also had a slight fever, felt fatigued and a bit "off" for a couple of days. The arm soreness started to go away on the morning of the second day. I was completely fine 48 hours after the vaccination.
