(26,173 posts)We once went to dinner at a very fancy restaurant in Cape May, NJ. He asked for ketchup. The waiter absolutely blanched. He eventually found a bottle, but you could tell he was in fear of the chef catching him out.
Me? I can't use a bottle of it up before it goes bad.

(26,173 posts)I only kept it, for when my sister and he came over for dinner. Now she's gone so it's kind of a pointless purchase. I found a bottle in the back of the refrigerator, when I cleaned it out, and IMMEDIATELY wrapped it in plastic and tossed it in the trash.

(9,580 posts)for my shrimp or certain seafood, mixed with horseradish, lemon, Tabasco, and Worcester sauce. Or occasionally on French fries. Here in KY you better remember to say "NO catsup" when ordering your burger. They put catsup on all burgers automatically. yuck.
