Sadly, my friend Judy lost her battle with COVID today. My heart is breaking for her husband and son. Thanks to all of you who responded to my earlier post. You all are good people.

My oldest daughter's best friend since childhood just lost BOTH parents to COVID this past week. They were doing everything you're supposed to do, and never did figure out where or how they caught it.
So glad wife and I get shot #2 tomorrow morning.

(8 posts)On New Years Eve to cancer. There is a book called The Group (Justin Yopp and Don _____) that has been incredibly helpful. I joined a group of widowed dads since our kids are under 18 and it has been great to talk with people that are in the same storm...just different boats

(33,512 posts)...in the future - my Dad joined after losing my Mom - that you join the widow/widowers club.
He met my stepmother there. Even though I was a man by the time he remarried, I had the benefit of having a living grandmother for my sons, a truly wonderful woman.
We each have to find our way in tragedies like this; I wish you peace and happiness in the memory of love, and having know love, the opportunity to love again.
All the best...

(2,023 posts)like you who have lost a loved one to COVID and FORCE the deniers to read them all, or hear them read aloud. They seem to have no idea of the anguish that this pandemic has inflicted on millions of Americans, including the victims and their loved ones, whose lives are now wrecked forever.
Bless you and your friend's husband and son!
