Behind the incredible display of rainbows in Washington on Sunday

The rainbows that formed were extra special, packing additional bands of colors into each vibrant arch

I don't have to go on, do I?

I saw a rainbow from Alexandria, but it lacked the vividness of these. I wonder if the effects were jacked up just a little in the photographer's camera.
