My to-do list

Last edited Sun Apr 25, 2021, 05:46 AM - Edit history (7)

My wife was admitted to the hospital yesterday and she'll probably be there for a couple of weeks for in patient treatments. I'm going to try and get a bunch of stuff that she wants done and a few other tasks I know need to be done while she's gone.

Drinking coffee and made up my list:

Plant tomato and pepper seeds indoors (need to do this today!) COMPLETED 4/17

Spread Scott's Step 1 in the front yard COMPLETED 4/17

Plant the 2 cedar trees I bought yesterday

Prepare the raised row where the 30 asparagus plants that we ordered will be planted

Prepare the spot in the yard where the crab apple tree that we ordered will be planted COMPLETED 4/20

Clean up the brush in the yard from the 2 trees that were cut down COMPLETED 4/21

Disassemble the changing table for disposal COMPLETED 4/20

Move the lawyer's book cabinet to where the changing table was COMPLETED 4/20

Get the piano from the family farm and put it where the lawyer's bookcase was.

Rake the yard at the small home in town COMPLETED 4/22

Lay down cardboard between the raised rows in the garden

Lay down mulch over the carboard

Clean up the raised rows and raised beds in the garden

Do a soil test on the garden

Put up the pea and bean teepees in the garden

Wash the car and vacuum the inside of it COMPLETED 4/22

Sharpen the kitchen knives

Trim the dog's nails COPLETED 4/21

Complete the plumbing job I'm doing for a neighbor

Get estimate for materials needed to redo roof at small house and order it.

Put plant guides over the peonies near the ditch

There's some other jobs too and I'll edit this list as I think of them.

On my to-do list is to find a landscaper to do some cleanup and try to get the grass looking nicer, probably put some seed down. One reason we bought this house is the small, easy-care lawn, but it’s still a PITA at times.

I'm just hoping that reincarnation is real so I can get it all done.

The list I have here is what I hope to get done in the next two weeks. Plus I'm babysitting and doing the routine household chores in addition.

I admire your discipline. I caught a horrible case of the lazies a week ago and just can’t seem to shake it.

Babysat my youngest grandchild yesterday so didn't get much done that day either.

Today is being productive.

Eating some boiled eggs for a lunch and then I'll get started on another task.

I got the raised beds cleaned up and started on the raised rows. Also made progress on the future asparagus row.

Kind of put kibosh on what I can do outside. I did make much progress on the plumbing job for the neighbor on Friday. Spent much of Saturday babysitting but found the time during the day to go to the family farm and come up with a plan on how to get the piano out of the house.

Today I'll probably do routine housework (laundry, dishes, dusting, clean toilets, vacuum and such) and sharpen the kitchen knives.
