Question about 3rd stimulus

If I owe taxes on my 2020 return, will the IRS hold on to my stimulus until my taxes are paid (deadline is in May), or do the two have anything to do with each other?

They just go by prior year.

The only thing that can hold it up is back taxes from previous years and unpaid child support.
