I will do whatever it takes to keep him with me because he is such a lover.
I know it is inevitable that he has to go, but....

(759 posts)I had a wonderful Chihuahua who was with us for 18 years. He did develop dementia in his later years, found him in the basement sump pit once, had other issues. His name was Humphrey (Bogart). We will look forward to seeing him again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Our pets are precious, and help define our humanity.

(7,781 posts)She lived for another twenty years, almost. The cat, not Mom. Mom lived longer than that. Kitty could have been as much as 25 at the end, I reckon.
