On the day of my oldest son's second Pfizer...
...I say the lyrics are "My Corona."
She says it's about some woman with a name that sounds like Corona, She-Rona, Ricearona, something like that. Who would make a song up about such a weird name, anyway?
To me, the woman pictured in the tank top is wearing it to prep for her shot.
What say ye?

Song by The Knack
Lyrics
Ooh my little pretty one, pretty one.
When you gonna give me some time, Sharona?
Ooh you make my motor run, my motor run.
Gun it comin' off the line Sharona
Never gonna stop, give it up.
Such a dirty mind. Always get it up for the touch
Of the younger kind. My my my i yi woo.
M M M My Sharona
Come a little closer huh, ah will ya huh.
Close enough to look in my eyes, Sharona.
Keeping it a mystery gets to me
Running down the length of my thighs, Sharona
Never gonna stop, give it up. Such a dirty mind.
Always get it up for the touch
Of the younger kind. My my my i yi woo.
M M M My Sharona
When you gonna give it to me, give it to me.
It is just a matter of time Sharona
Is it just destiny, destiny?
Or is it just a game in my mind, Sharona?
Never gonna stop, give it up.
Such a dirty mind. Always get it up for the touch
Of the younger kind. My my my i yi woo.
M M M My Sharona
M M M My Sharona
M M M My Sharona
M M M My Sharona
Ohhhhh My Sharona
Ohhhhh My Sharona
Ohhhhh My Sharona

(37,535 posts)In any case my wife works long hours, and at times it's "fend for yourself!" Or (gasp) "You make dinner for me."
It's liberating because I feel free to argue Corona viruses. Lipidoma, ricarona or whatever it is she's claiming the song says.

Also - my uncle and my old carpool friend were discussing the song recently.
What did they say?
Oh, how important it was in ending the reign of disco.
Like the top song the year before was a major disco hit, but then in 1979 -
BAM! Rock and Roll was the number one song that year!
And the age of New Wave had begun!
OHYEAH!

(3,216 posts)especially when my political and music mentors, my aunt and uncle, showed me.
So you don't like Blondie, The B52's, The Talking Heads, the Eurythmics, Grace Jones, Level 42, Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, Adam Ant, the Pretenders, and so much more?
I mean, I was a teen in the 90s so that's more my base for music, but 80s music destroys most 70's pre-New Wave easily, imho.
Yeah, boy, disco sucks! ha
But to each, their own.

Best of luck with your argument. *snicker*

I married that woman.
