Worst before & after ever: Royal Poinciana to frozen dead wood, six of them gone

Flowering tree, fast growing due to being a water guzzler, not hardwood so easy freezing. This one was the trickiest to cut down because of its bad location between two power lines, not to be replaced. It looked even better than the pic, deep deep foliage and shade and way more covered with blossoms. Takes about 5 years to bloom for the first time.

Also, this one is in a bad location between power lines, so won't be replaced. Can zoom from knee high to fifteen feet in 3-4 years and blooms in 5. It's me at my 74 yrs that's the problem!1

For it to freeze like that. It would probably take 24 hours of 20 degree temps to freeze that bad. It's a damned shame, wherever it is

from the epic February Freeze. Weather forecasters predicted a low of only 35 where we live, and it got down to 23 and stayed there for several hours. Combine that with gale force winds for hours and hours and the wind chill was in the low teens. In deep south Texas. Lost electricity for 5 days, lost water for 4 days, had to boil water for a week. After building the garden for 4 years we lost 95% of everything. We have replanted some things, but it still depresses me when I go out there.

If he runs as an Independent will just be a spoiler for whoever the Dem nominee is, doesn't seem committed enough to run as a Dem?

had a bad case of mucous with a handkerchief. College music students were cheering wildly and he never looked at them.

Shakira was a total class act, went two hours without a break.

Well, nighty night!

well, i lost it 2 yrs ago when lake mich was at an all time high, and it drowned. i'm right in the water table. lost all it's leaves in august.

it struggled through last year, and i did my best to keep it focused on the right growth.
it tried to wake up this spring, but just couldnt.

it was 25 yo, and 35' tall. goblet shaped, magenta flowers. bloomed a tad later than most, so it had the street to itself.
now i have to look at it out my window til i can get it down.

almost lost my sour cherry, too, but it's hangin in there.
