lack of petroleum for processing.
A friend was telling me this morning that his sister, a trumper who lives in LA, was freaked out because her friend, who knows a guy, who knows a guy in the cooking oil industry, assured him that they were down to their last barrel of cooking oil. Because there is no petroleum to process it. All Biden's fault, of course. Do we laugh, cry, scream, or all three???
Note: in the course of verifying cooking oil processing, I learned not only about how most of the by-products are recycled into things like animal feed and materials for mattresses, and lecithin for chocolate. . .but. . .certain of the oilseed cakes have been discovered to have high levels of protein. Researchers are now working on ways to make them palatable, to serve as protein sources in under resourced areas. So at least her idiot comment was not a total waste.
