So, my wife and I got our first shots, and, so far, so good.
But that's just an update, and not really the subject of this thread. We were in a local mall, and everyone is social distancing and wearing masks. We wait for the elevator, which is a pretty sizable unit, as it carries shopping carts back to their area of origin, so it's designed to hold a small "train" of them. Waiting with us is a guy I'd put in his mid-to-late 30s, off work, but still wearing his Canada Post uniform.
When the doors open, he backs onto the elevator, and angles his cart so we can't enter the car. He says "You can wait for the next elevator." (there is only one) I say "Excuse me???" He says "Covid." I said "You don't get your own elevator." The Covid number of passengers is 4, not 1.
He gets a very pissy look on his face, and walks quickly to the other side of the outdoor "foyer" to pout.
My wife usually admonishes me for engaging with other people like that, but she said not a word this time, not for this selfish idiot.
