Here's a new one for all you grammar nazis. One of my family members posted

the other day on social media about how being corn teened had really taken a toll on their family activities. It took me quite a bit to figure out what she meant. She is an intelligent woman, good dental hygienist in high demand but I guess she doesn't read much. Her son is only 2 yrs. and hopefully school will be in full swing by the time he needs to attend.

of many sentences I have read in on-line comments and posts.

I am glad though that they are willing to take the risks an dpost their thoughts. I have made probably thousands of grammatical and spelling errors during my internet years.

The problem isn't confined to individuals, I don't think a day has passed for years where I don't see errors in reports from the major news provider, including NYTimes, WaPo, Boston Globe, etc.

Being aware of the mistakes in the highly respectable content caused me to stop correcting posts, and focus on trying to keep my own efforts readable and up to standard use.

That example is amazing, the writer managed to recreate the sounds of the word needed with an incomplete vocabulary toolbox.

...a word, at the end of sentences, that the writers have spelled, “Wallah!”

It took me the longest damn time to figure out that people meant “Voila!”

(Apologies - I don’t know how to get the diacritical mark over the “a”.)

11. "Corn teened" is just wrong. It should be "Cornly teened".

Most adverbs end with "ly" for some reason that escapes me.

I don't know if "quarantine" is correct, unless the confinement is forty days.
