I just woke up with a 19 YO kitten purring in my ear and a 15 YO baby girl cat dreaming on my leg.
Do you have any Elder Fuzzballs?

(23,097 posts)She had both front legs broken and they hadn't healed right, a bunch of teeth knocked out, lost part of her lip. damaged her vocal cords etc. etc. She's recovered so well, even scurries really fast on those slightly bent front legs when she's in a playful mood - which admittedly isn't often. She does love to be around us and cuddles in our laps a lot. She has such a funny gravelly voice from her accident, and she is a moody grump. She doesn't like other cats and we also have a 5 year old male rescue whose twice her size - she's quite small. Foggy is a former cat colony (before Covid) cat so thinks eating should be social and Coco vehemently disagrees. Foggy has only been with us 9 months and has made lots of progress in getting Coco to tolerate him and let him be close to her. Somedays she will even let him get within 6 in. without hissing, on days she's not feeling generous she will growl if he's nearer than 2 ft.
So even though she's 14, due to her earlier injuries, she acts more like an even older cat.
