Cats come right out of the woodwork when they see the human.

2. Animals know when a human has a good soul.

They flock to them like bees to a flower.

3. Same thing happened at a shelter I visited!

They had a special closed-off "cat suite" of a few rooms where the non-aggressive house cats could roam and socialize uncaged. It had wood floors and junk furniture and cat-towers for them to lounge on and destroy. There were perhaps fifty cats residing there that I could see. The employee said "sit down if you dare" with a grin: immediate twelve-cat pile in my lap.
