(26,609 posts)Musk has a high-functioning form of Autism - one that probably affects his social skills to a fair degree. But as things are taken away, others are given. Many high-functioning people with Autism have excellent pattern detection and other mental capabilities which are way above the norm for neural typicals.

Hes a little quirky and jerky not unlike me but very likable sans politics. Know some dont like his politics, but there are a lot worse people than Musk.

I have a son with Asperger's. It absolutely limits him in certain ways. Changing the name of his diagnosis does not change his deficits.
