I was just listening to Preet Bharara's podcast with George Floyd prosecutors Jerry Blackwell and Steve Schleicher as guests. Blackwell said that Minnesotans generally aren't very emotive. He shared an anecdote that an elderly resident of the state told him: Minnesotans tend not to smile because bearing teeth is perceived as being aggressive.
It made me wonder, what have been your experiences in terms of the most expressive or friendly American state and which would fall into the least expressive or least friendly state category?

(4,858 posts)...we folks in Connecticut keep an even keel about everything. We're the Baby Bear state--everything is neither too hot nor too cold, but just right. All of it--climate, politics, culture, food, temperament...we avoid extremes.
