Sorry for a negative but this is really alarming

Grey’s Anatomy is still on the air. 😯😖🥴

Oh, who played Dr. Cristina Yang, the brilliant and ambitious best friend of Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), was part of the cast when it debuted in 2005. She left the Shonda Rhimes medical drama in 2014, as Yang left the hospital for a top job in Switzerland. But the phenomenally successful show has continued, and it's currently in its 17th season on ABC.

I don't, but clearly there is a fixation on them by networks. Are they just lazy? Or is it a bottom line thing?

It’s formulaic, meaning there’s no deep thought involved, and people will still watch. Look at all the Law & Orders, CSIs, NCISs, Chicago Med/PD/Fire....lather, rinse, repeat.

Plus, I imagine they’re cheap to make. Look at how Law & Order recycles actors. One week’s defense attorney is next week’s perp. I go to a lot of regional theater and a universal credit of almost all the actors are L&O and the Chicago procedurals.

to get most things pretty accurate (and believable). It was fast-paced and generally interesting. The show's reruns hold up today even decades later.

Grey's Anatomy? An embarrassment. Someone likes it, though, I guess.

I think 15 or 16 seasons. I think every charactor has died at least once.
