I was once charged by a bull moose when I look lived in Alaska. I didn’t think I could run that fast.

with my wife trying to get close to a cow moose on the Richardson Highway. That was the early 70s, didn't realize how dumb we were at the time.

If you lived in Anchorage. Do you remember the lion that A & W kept in a cage near Mt. Miew?

Ft. Richardson from 70-73. I was a kid in 4th grade then.

Some friends and I were in a field watching a cow moose and here calf. Didn’t see the bull moose if to the side but he saw us. He charged us and we ran. Probably just to scare us off.

Don’t remember the A&W.

It was a female, so likely was not as big as this one, but my friend was one of the locals who happened to see her. That moose was transported to a safer area - it was local motorists who spotted the moose - I certainly hope that that this moose was also relocated, way too close to a roadway.

came face to face about 15' from a bull while hiking down Mt Kathdin ME. We froze, then very very slowly backed away. They are absolutely huge!

Moose was a nickname. They were good friends, carpenters. One night on the way to Mark's
birthday party at his remote house in the Chiricahua Mts here in SE Az, Moose lost control of
his truck and got killed. Mark found a 'Moose Crossing' sign and put it up next to the crash site.
It's still there.
Yeah moose can get huge.
