..took a while to lure them in..perhaps thistle was not to their liking, so bought a different brand--now have many vying for a place netted sock.

work better than Nijer and thistle seed. Black oil sunflower seeds in regular feeders, and I have bunches of them.

I love to hear them talk to each other in the trees near the feeders. They're so cute and social, chirping away a mile a minute. 😊

I never heard of these birds before. Where are they found?

I tried googling, but it seems there is more than one kind of rosefinch. Not sure which one thus is.

My wife and I are really into all the little birds that frequent our yard. No expertise or even cataloguing. We just like watching their antics, and happy that they like the houses and bird seed...and flower nectar, in the case of the hummingbirds.
