Fireworks or gunshots? Sorry I just need to rant. I am now 31 today after all...10 years ago I loved fireworks, I would spend a lot of money on them. But over the past 5 or so years, I just lost interest so fast because I saw how badly it was effecting my dog who was sick at the time. But now, one day, not even one day after they went on sale in Texas. I'm hearing pop pop pop. My poor babies are freaking out and this has me pissed already. And a lot of us have to endure this for the next week and half.
Like if you buy fireworks, please wait and use them on the 4th and go to a place outside the city for the love of Pete.

(5,944 posts)I loved them back when fireworks displays were put on by professionals, on special occasions like July Fourth. But now that any drunken yahoo can put on a display any ol' time he wants, the magic has gone out of it.
In recent years, I've had to tolerate the racket of fireworks in my neighborhood on Christmas Eve, of all times.
