I fear many things. Many cannot be understood, like the republican mind. Like hate, racism and masogyny. I cannot understand killing things for "sport". The list is very long.

And the bottom line is, I will NEVER understand repuq's.

Two time Noble Prize winner Mrs. Curie. The advancements she made in the fields Physics and Chemistry were incredible.

I have always wondered though did she know the harm she was doing to herself thru her research and just ignore it or did she not realize that the radiation she was exposing herself to was harmful and the cause for her decline.

Little was understood about radiation at the time, and its effect on life at the cellular level had not been studied much, if at all. Heck, not much was really known about cells at the time. The structure of DNA was unknown then, and there was little understanding of what it did.

Suspect which makes it just that much more tragic that the science she loved (by all accounts) doing was slowly poisoning her ultimately killing her.
