It was 35 degrees cooler at my house today than it was on Wednesday...

...the high on Wednesday was 98, by my outdoor thermometer. Today it didn't get higher than 63. (I'm in southern CT.) Right now it's 49--astounding for July. After the misery of earlier in the week, it's a nice break. I'm enjoying it while it lasts...

Was almost a hundred degrees on Tues and Wed, and now it is hovering around 55-60, depending on the time of day. I happen to love the coooler weather, so i am very happy with the temp drop.

I know it won't last long, but at least it will give me a little break on the AC bill.

Just curious. Here in the Bay Area (California), we often have off-shore winds which make the humidity plunge.

God, I hate summer.

...the area right along the Sound often gets cool breezes, and sometimes a break from the humidity. Where I am--only three miles inland--the Sound might as well be in another time zone...

A storm came through and cooled us off quickly. Just in time too, because I think my window-box geraniums were about to bite the dust.

I'm glad we have missed most of the hot weather they're getting in the west, but we had a nasty couple of days here too. I can take the cold weather just fine, but the summer heat and humidity really do me in.

...I've visited it several times in recent years for ballpark trips. It may not have the absolute overwhelming quality of NYC or Chicago, but pound-for-pound it's America's greatest city. Wish I could go for a walk around Squirrel Hill today...

It's a very cool place to watch a game. They've opened up to pre-Covid seating so the crowds should be coming back to the stadium this weekend.
