Maybe I should have posted this here...

but general discussion seems the most active group.

What old movies have you been watching lately?

2. I've been revisiting three of my favorite directors...

Martin Ritt, John Frankenheimer, and Stanley Kubrick.

The Train, Seconds, Hombre, Seven Days in May, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, Paths of Glory.

Next up are Dr. Strangelove and The Manchurian Candidate.

5. the orginal Manchurian or the later version?

I thought the original was much more chilling, but both are horrifying in their premise of what we see today.

7. The original directed by John Frankenheimer.

I saw the remake once, but I'll stick with the earlier one.

8. I agree.

That was one scary movie and it almost feels like we're living in it!

9. Sixty years on, and still relevant.

Americans are still being brainwashed, and a lot of them love it.

6. Saw Buckaroo Banzai last week for probably the 5th or 6th time.

Always amusing, but I make sure that many years are between my viewings so I don't remember every next step. Nice to catch it again.
