Best Picture in 2004: Million Dollar Baby

I saw that movie on TV a few years after it was released in theaters.

As the climactic scene in the boxing ring happened, I thought, "Seriously?! And this was the Academy award winner a few years ago?"

I'm not a big fan of the "Scary Movie" series either, but this parody of Million Dollar Baby made me laugh hysterically when I happened to see it while channel-flipping several days ago.

And that plot turn near the end was total BS. Never would have happened in real life.

... in several places. That's my general memory now, since my brain seemed to purge lots of the plot details out of my memory pretty soon. And I never watched it again.

Done on tv in front of a crowd and the referee - and it was ignored, when it would have been a disqualifier. Come on.
