Best or most memorable opening TV/Cable show premiere for you

(stolen from Reddit)
For me Walking Dead on AMC.
I am not a horror fan, books or movies, but the first 4plus minute opening of the show hooked me in the show for several seasons

theme song to Cheers. I heard it and loved it. Good thing, since it plays again daily to advertise Applebee’s restaurants.

Don’t remember the exact opening but the falling man graphic with the ads was better than any theme song — perfect visual setup for the show.

Events that happen throughout all the seasons are related to what happens in the first episode. It’s a show that grabs you and doesn’t let go until the last minute of the last episode.

One of my top five all time TV shows. Very few shows work off the impact of the first episode and run it through the entire series as well as The Shield did.

I remember finishing that first episode and thinking, "Now THAT was something different and very good."
