That's the memory that stands out for me. I was very young - kindergarten age - when I read the strip.

but the other characters didn't. Also it wasn't funny; I liked the funny cartoons, which is why I also thought Mark Trail sucked. It still does, more than ever.

Maybe his eyes represented wide-eyed wonder. Dondi wasn't my favorite. I just liked devouring the funnies and as I got older, other parts of the paper.

I did like Mark Trail. I've always like learning wood lore.
