So, this shirt I ordered on Amazon ... as a guitar nerd I love it, but ...

So the idea here is there's a lot of types of guitars, and they have distinctive sounds as any guitarist knows ... but then after I got it I started wondering if maybe it's ... I dunno ... somehow flippant/insensitive?

It's not this exact one but it's much like it ... what do you guys think?

Cool. They need to add a resonator guitar, 000/00 sized acoustic, bass guitar. Hoyt Jul 2021 #1

But for those who don't, I kinda' think it's a bit flippant. If it didn't have the "celebrate diversity" language, no problems. But that language and the guitars tend to lessen the meaning and importance of diversity.

Just my view.

BUT then I also thought to myself that at LEAST 90% of people seeing the shirt are just going to read the words and not really 'get the joke', as it were, anyway, so overall I'm still wearing around a Celebrate Diversity shirt ...

And most of the 10% that would 'get it' ... would still like it anyways.

If it said, “I identify as a Strat,” I could see people being offended, but it seems like a positive message, even with guitars.

And you're right about this particular one. The one I got has a Strat style, an SG, a Dreadnought, a Gretsch-like semi-hollow, and a flying V only. It plays no favorites

So as much as I love guitars, I'm a no.

Maybe saying "vive la différence" as an alternative. . .

The odds that I encounter someone who wants to beat my ass for wearing a 'Celebrate Diversity' shirt, period, is immeasurably higher than encountering someone who's profoundly miffed at my PC intransigence on accounta my shirt features diverse guitars instead of ... I dunno ... a rainbow of human faces ... let's put it like that.

acoustic but electrified guitar made of vintage wooden cigar boxes an "extraterrestrial" type - it is out of this world and seems to have a very attuned sound quality - one-of-a-kind sound, and signed by the craftsman and artist. Very cool!

Must have curves and lots of stickers. I usually toss out the guitar and just keep the case.

It's a nice contrast to the rest of the electric noise-makers. Don't sweat the insensitive issue, it's a good-looking t-shirt.
