Random thoughts about Christianity

Maybe Jesus hasn't returned because he sees all the crosses and crucifixes as a warning.

If they actually found the body of Jesus would they cancel Easter?

If God made Adam from dust and Eve from Adam's rib, did they have belly buttons?

That is all. Back to work.

I think it was Mel Brooks who said “well when he gets here just ask him if he’s been here before”.

sources Sumerians, Gilgamesh; Egyptians, Ishtar (madonna and child); Romans, Flavians "invented" Jesus favorable to Rome; James vs Paul, Paul creating the Christians; other messiahs roaming around - love it.

He would be considered a nut case standing on a street corner proclaiming the end of the world. Actually I think he's tried that on a number of occasions.

Evolution starts with the notion that organic matter started out as inorganic matter. The process of molecular chains and carbon bonding created reproducing organic matter.

Genesis states that God made Adam from inorganic matter, which then became organic matter.

Why should evolution trouble Christians so much?

----------
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32 Remember Lot's wife.

33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

----------

Grinding, eh? It MUST mean grinding of grains, since homosexuality was supposedly unacceptable to Jesus.
So to avoid the rapture, women need to avoid grinding grains together like they did in ancient times.

... among thee shall be divided in twain, half scattered away like chaff of grains tossed upon the wind.

Or something like that.
