When I started learning this awesome game, I’d lose 6-10 balls a round. As I got better, I’d lose fewer. One day, I realized I’d found more balls than I’d lost. Now, I have two buckets of previously owned balls and several dozen unopened boxes of new ones.

By the way, I recently gave up the game since we bought a cruising sailboat. One can’t do both and I’m a better sailor than golfer. The balls and three sets of clubs are going to the First Tee program.

I'm a sucker for a rescue. My house smells like a zoo despite my cleaning efforts and there's dog and cat hair everywhere. I try to keep up with it, but I work 50 hours a week and my wife is disabled.

We wouldn't have it any other way though. Bless the beasts and the children. They're helpless and didn't ask to be brought into this world. And they give so much love unconditionally.
