Great book - recommendation

Took a break from my true crime fetish and read "The Puma Years: A Memoire" by Laura Coleman. Boy, am I glad I did! Just a snippet off Amazon:

In this rapturous memoir, writer and activist Laura Coleman shares the story of her liberating journey in the Amazon jungle, where she fell in love with a magnificent cat who changed her life.

Ms. Coleman writes beautifully, her descriptions of the Amazon, its animals, and the earth itself blew me away. And to make things even better, she is an activist for all those things.

If you're looking for something different, and a pretty fast read, give this a try. I'm betting you'll be glad you did.

if the book was about the years a hot older woman spent with her boy toy. Since I am too old even to be a puma any more, it didn't sound very interesting to me, but since it turns out to be about an actual cat I might have a look.

It IS about the cat (Wayra), but it is about so much more. If you like good writing, give it a try for sure.
