Spooky Sr. was hanging around, close to the house, which is totally new behavior

So I put a little dry food down on the walk to see if I could get him to come in closer and, sure enough, he's gobbling it up. When he saw me looking out through the window, he didn't flee. I'm going to find another food bowl.

He has gotten SOOOOO much shinier since I started feeding him.

I saw that, on stage, in Philadelphia, with Yul Brenner, back in the early 80's.

Spooky Sr. used to skedaddle, the instant he saw me - no matter the distance. At first his coat was really dull, and the rust color was pretty vivid. Maybe that was because of the condition of his coat. Now he's looking pretty darn sleek. Hopefully I can TNR him, too, although he does make really cute kittens. I don't need Maury Povich to tell me that he is Spooky Jr's daddy - they are almost identical.

Skittish and the kittens were chowing down so Spooky was hanging back, waiting for his opportunity (which he took, when they left). I want him to start getting close enough to see me, and recognize I am not a threat.

I'll tell you this - the ferals REALLY appreciate the bowl of fresh water that I replenish throughout the day.
