Peaceful morning..Kaavan half asleep when I met him at 530. A couple of hornbills flew over and a flock of parrots. Peaceful sounds. And I think that would well describe the beautiful Boy at this time.

I have seen him have contact through enclosures (touching trunks) but I have not seen him with other elephants.

Here is the plan, with Saria Mia and Arun Reah already best friends we will allow DiPloh to decide first if she wishes to join him, once the adjoining day enclosure is complete we will allow DiPloh in, in the evening, while Kaavan is in his jungle home, she can decide herself whether to stay or stick to her normal routine and head out to the jungle every morning or stay around Kaavan all day, her safety is paramount in our thought process so the decision will first be hers to make."
