I took a walk today . . .

Small town in north Texas. About a block away I smelled charcoal and lighter fluid. Someone grilling burgers no doubt. A little further on there's another aroma. Not charcoal. More like dry leaves or grass clippings. Yeah, that's what it is. Local cop drives by and I wave the peace sign. Haven't done that in years but it seemed right at the time. For some reason I'm feeling a bit melancholy. Made me think of this . . .
