I remember it too. We had ash fall here in Eugene, a couple of hundred miles away.

..many times as kids on vacations with my parents we always stopped at the road side signs that pointed out to where all the mountains are.
I actually climbed Adams twice.

This is really neat. Mt. St Helen blew her top I see.
I remember that one. Working in the garden heard
her blow. Later that Sunday went across to Danville
for beers, ash was starting to come from the West.
Really miss the Danville bar, good times, great owners

south-central Washington State when we drove north we were viewing Mt. Adams and when we were
driving south we were viewing Mt. Hood. Those were the days!
