Thank you so much!!

After reading about political events of the day these posts calm me right down.

Also many years ago I worked at a veterinary hospital and although it did not end up being the vocation I chose it is still in many ways my first love. Plus you tend to acquire pets (often discarded) you didn’t intend to. I had a paraplegic cat, a mentally challenged diabetic cat and a 3 legged dog (at the end).

Seemed perfectly normal to me!

They started out as self-preservation during The Dark Times of the past 4 years and they're still fun to find and post. You sound like a great person to take in those precious beings that wouldn't have otherwise stood a chance.

Welcome to DU!

Scooter lived the longest, 17 years! And of the 2 cats he caught a mouse. I was both proud and disgusted.

The dog (a Rottie) was afraid of him. Ever see the YouTube video ‘you shall not pass dog!’ Many times I laughed while telling her ‘you can walk by him, it’s just a cat!

We had a den of foxes and you would never know it until about 3:00 AM yipping and spooky squeals. Beautiful, playful animals who live between man, mange, and, their nemesis, Coyotes.

Love 'em...thanks for the spot.
