Our Chihuahua is a rescue, Roxy is our first large breed dog. I’ll admit we were nervous about getting a rescue.

Good for you for giving Lily a forever home. I’m sure she has repaid you many time over.

It wasn't a hard decision to keep her.

We got her February 2020 right when the pandamic was getting started. My wife was hesitant about keeping her, but now they are best buds.

Was at my SIL’s home in Mexico City. She had a male named Roscoe, along with four Chihuahuas.

My SIL made sure she introduced me to Roscoe. We became buddies off the bat. Rottweilers know who is welcome in a home, and who is not. I could enter the home at 2:00 am, A simple “Roscoe it’s me” was enough to calm her and I could unlock the gate to the the foyer and enter the home. He demanded attention from me (petting and “good boy”) in return for allowing entrance. It was given happily.
