We listened to the record all the time. And we thought Shirley Jones was so beautiful! (She really was!) When I was really young, I went with my parents and brother to see the show live - it was in some huge tent somewhere, no idea where, but the leads were Barbara Cook and Van Johnson! I can still remember Van Johnson marching up and down the aisles for the ("76 Trombones" ) finale! But I still have no idea where it was...

wonder whether he still does. HE lives in Iowa now, has for many years; we grew up in NY.

And I'm also in New York - so that's where I must have seen the live show, but I'm not sure where it was. We were fairly young and that was an unusual thing for us to do, but we enjoyed it.

And I've watched the movie on TV countless times, have to watch whenever I run across it, and I still remember all the words to the songs - and I'll bet my cousin does, too.

'We'll greet you, Which we may not do at all!'

I don't recall what got us into it.

One of the high schools in my home town did a production of "Evita" not long ago. Give that some thought.

Politics not apparent, when I was in high school; did Brigadoon and Kismet too (and Messiah, annually.)

was in Happy Days. Mr. & Mrs. Cunningham were in line to get tickets to see The Music Man in their local theater. Mrs. C was excited to see the movie because "the little boy in the movie looked just like Richie did when he was that age."

It still makes me giggle.
