The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI've renamed Mittens to 'Mittens the Brave'.
Every day I'm getting longer and longer 'within spitting distance' time with her. And, if I'm NOT outside, she's looking up at the porch door to see if I am there. Maybe having Mama close by helps, although it sure makes no difference to Scooter and Spooky Jr.
However, there IS a little progress with those two. Instead of fleeing to the security of their shelter beneath the neighbor's shrubs, they stop at the fence line and go into observation mode.
Of course, I had to take a 'peek a boo' photo of 'Mittens the Brave'.

(12,480 posts)As a button. You are doing amazing things with those feral little ones, and thier mommy.
They will be yours pretty soon.
Those kittens will be destined to have wonderful long lives because of you. And Mommy will not have to struggle for food to survive.

(26,291 posts)There used to be 2 or 3 other ferals who would stop by to eat but I haven't seen them for quite a long time, now. I just want to keep this little family local and safe. And, hopefully, TNR'd in the near future.

(12,480 posts)There is a feral cat I give food to hoping to lure the cat to stay around longer so I could get it to be TnR'ed or find out there are more cats living in that patch of woods and weeds. Then I will have to call the ASPCA to catch them all.
The stray cat I am feeding is a gorgeous long haired orange cat
He looks like a red Persian cat without the flattish face.
